Our most popular destination is the Capibaribe River, in the city of Recife-PE, because it is a quick, efficient and practical urban fishing trip, fitting perfectly into your family vacation or even a business trip.

The truth is that we at Recife Tarpon do not limit ourselves to just one fishing option and we are constantly investing in exploratory fishing in order to offer the most diverse sport fishing options and also the capture of different species present in the state of Pernambuco and region.

For those who plan to take a longer trip and have a more in-depth fishing experience, we have several options that include rivers, mangroves, river bars, coastal fishing and even options that include freshwater, such as dams and reservoirs for sport fishing for peacock bass.

PERNAMBUCO

RIVER

Located in the region of Porto de Galinhas-PE, the Ipojuca River has a very peculiar and pleasant landscape.

Access is via a dirt ramp located in a narrow part of the river, passing through vegetation typical of freshwater rivers.

Going down the river, we observe the transition and mixture of this type of vegetation with the mangrove vegetation, until we reach the bar, where the river widens more and more with large mangrove trees forming fishing structures.

It is a river that works like a box of surprises, sheltering good-sized baby tarpons, with some chances of catching snook.

The river also has navigable access to Muro Alto beach.

Still located near Grande Recife, with less urban characteristics, the Jaboatão River, located in the Paiva Reserve, is a good option to discover a different destination and fish in a river with a more pleasant view.

Access is from the Paiva marinas, with good local infrastructure.

The number of tarpons compared to the Capibaribe River is smaller, although it is possible to catch good-sized fish.

This river has more preserved mangrove areas, with good chances of catching snook in the branches and structures.

This is the most popular fishing destination for fishermen who pass through here.

The fact is that the Capibaribe River has a number of tarpons that is unmatched by any other river in the Brazilian northeast, and so fishing is always guaranteed in terms of catches.

It is almost impossible to sail the waters of the Capibaribe and not see a tarpon or see some action.

Sailing its waters is also a journey through time, passing by the most diverse buildings and historical monuments of Recife Antigo. Because it is located in the middle of the urban area, this destination is always a practical and easy-to-access option.

The ideal destination for those who have little time in the city and want to have their first guaranteed contact with the “Silver King”.

It is a river further away from the capital, located in the city of Sirinhaém-PE, near Praia dos Carneiros.

Access is via concrete ramps through local marinas.

It is a river with little urban interference, but it is very sensitive to rain and its waters can easily become muddy, depending on the occurrence of rain, making fishing difficult.

It has a good quantity of tarpon upstream, where the river is more influenced by fresh water.

It is also possible to catch snook in the branches.
